Mechanisms that stabilize human walking

چکیده

In this paper we review what mechanisms are used to stabilize human bipedal gait. Based on mechanical reasoning, potential control the body center of mass trajectory modulation foot placement, stance leg consisting ankle moments and push-off forces, modulations body’s angular momentum. The first two especially dominant in controlling accelerations during gait, while momentum plays a lesser role, but may be important alignment orientation. same both steady-state perturbed gait mediolateral antero-posterior directions. Control is at least part active affected by proprioceptive, visual vestibular information. Results support that reflects feedback process which sensory information obtain an estimate state based placement modulated. These suggest training approaches for populations risk falling, such as augmenting their effective use means augmented feedback, or using complementary nature train one mechanism constraining other mechanisms.

Integrators of the Cytoskeleton that Stabilize Microtubules

Sensory neurodegeneration occurs in mice defective in BPAG1, a gene encoding cytoskeletal linker proteins capable of anchoring neuronal intermediate filaments to actin cytoskeleton. While BPAG1 null mice fail to anchor neurofilaments (NFs), BPAG1/NF null mice still degenerate in the absence of NFs. We report a novel neural splice form that lacks the actin-binding domain and instead binds and st...

O-7: Insulin Exerts a Prosurvival Effect on Human Spermatozoa via Mechanisms That Involve the Stimulation of Akt Phosphorylation

Background: The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of Insulin (INS) on human sperm function, in light of a recent proteomic analysis indicating that these cells express the INS receptor (INSR). Materials and Methods: We used Western blot and Immunocytochemical analyses. Results: Immunocytochemical analyses confirmed the presence of INSR in human spermatozoa and localized this recep...

P-224: Mechanisms That Reduce Endometrial Receptivity in Endometriosis

Background: Several studies indicate clear relationship between infertility and endometriosis. However, the etiology of this association is uncertain. Endometrial dysfunction is a possible cause of infertility in women with endometriosis, which could explain the high rates of implantation failure and miscarriages in these women. Delay in endometrial maturation and intrauterine biochemical abnor...

Human-Like Actuated Walking that is Asymptotically Stable Without Feedback

This paper studies a two-legged kneed walking robot with point feet. At any given moment, only one foot is in contact with the ground, and the switching is instantaneous. The robot can be considered as a simpli ed model of human walking. The periodic torque histories applied to each link are a priori prescribed for a motion and are not changed by any feedback interference. Nevertheless the robo...

Modifications that stabilize human immunodeficiency virus envelope glycoprotein trimers in solution.

The functional unit of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) envelope glycoproteins is a trimer composed of three gp120 exterior glycoproteins and three gp41 transmembrane glycoproteins. The lability of intersubunit interactions has hindered the production and characterization of soluble, homogeneous envelope glycoprotein trimers. Here we report three modifications that stabilize solu...
